NEW MEDICAL INSURANCE SCHEME

Good news !!!
Bank has cleared the IBA medical insurance scheme on the lines of second suggestion given by us. Bank will bear 50% of Insurance premium in respect of those who are already in REMAS scheme and who wish to join REMAS. Those who are not and who donot want to be members of REMAS shall bear full cost of premium.
Bank circular is being issued. Last date for giving option to join the new Insurance scheme is likely to be 28th of November 2015 and the scheme would commnce from 1st December 2015.
Our sincere thanks to our members for their support, to our patrons & IOBOA and also AIOBEU for their support as members of Welfare Committee. Above all, to our CEO, EDs and our GM (PAD) Mrs. Indira Padmini.
ARISE appeals to all the retirees to join the New Medical Scheme since
- This is one time option,
- This is more beneficial,
- Insurance under REMAS will be substituted by the New Scheme and will be discontinued from 1.12.2015,
- More the number of members, more scope for reducing / or atleast maintaining the same premium,
- We are hopeful of improving bank’s share to 100% in the near future.
As regards REMAS, in order to avail the benefit of 50% of premium, all REMAS members should opt for New Medical Scheme. Other retirees should become REMAS members before 28.11.2015 to avail the benefit.
Please also try to trace out our PF optee retirees/their spouses and advise them to join this medical scheme since there is no record with Bank/ARISE to find out their present address.

It is a good attempt to keep members in touch. However the Website needs to be improved, updated and given professional touch.
Glad to hear that CO has agreed to bear 50 percent of the premium for Remas members. Please clarify the following ..
1. Whether Remas will be scrapped after introduction of the new medical insurance scheme ?
2. Whether we will continue to get this concession in the coming years too ?
3. Whether we will continue to get the annual medical aid of Rs.2000/. In April every year ?
4. Why you recommend joining in Remas for those who are not already members for availing 50% concession ? Is it not a loss for them ?

Great job done for the retired IOBIANS. Thanks to all concerned leaders.I am a member in REMAS. Presently I am In USA. Will be returning to India in the last week of January,2016. Will it be OK if I submit my application and premium THEN at my pension drawing branch? Kindly guide me.
