The Organizing Secretary welcomed and introduced Mr. Harish Kumar Saini (Ex AGS IOBOA), Mr.Surinder Kumar, Mr.A.Upadhay, Mr. Hira Lal and Mr. S.C.Mittal who had recently joined ARISE as Life Members on their superannuation.

The members were apprised about the latest status relating to 100% DA neutralization, increase in Family Pension and updation of pension and the follow up being done by AIBPARC, AIBOC and CBPRO especially under the leadership of Mr.K.V.Acharya, President, AIBPARC.
Their meetings with various Ministers and buerocrats in Central Govt., and submitting memorandums of demands to them, were discussed in details. The dirty role being played by rival organisations for the sake of getting mere publicity and harming retirees’ interest was also discussed. The members were cautioned to be careful against malicious propaganda being done by such organizations.

With regard to renewal of policy of NMIS by UIICo at higher rate and the publicity being made by AIBRF/AIBEA about the company having paid claims much higher than the amount of premium received by them, was also discussed. Everybody felt surprised as to why these organizations are promoting the interest of the company instead of seeking relief for retirees. The members were told that the Bank has started writing letters to all new retirees for becoming members of REMAS/NMIS to be eligible for availing 50% discount in premium payable to insurance company, which gives us hope that the benefit of 50% discount will continue as before.

With regard to long pending medical claims with TPA of Mr.P.K.Bose, Mr.Kamal Kumar Verma and Mr.Anil Goel, they were told that aggressive follow up is being done with TPA, who have assured to settle all the three claims in 2 week’s time.
