NEW MEDICAL INSURANCE SCHEME – PRO-RATA PREMIUM FOR THOSE RETIRED BETWEEN 1.10.2019 AND 30.09.2020 !

Comrades,

As you are aware, the Health Insurance Policy through IBA for existing staff normally runs for the period from 1st October to 30th September of next year, whereas for retirees it is from 1st November to 31st Octorber next year.  Hence, there is always a gap of one month not covered under Insurance till the retirees opt for new Insurance policy from 1st November.  In order to facilitate those retirees to continue their policy, if they wish, Bank has issued a cicular with the pro-rata premium payable for the month of October alone so that they are covered for hospitalisation expenses, if any, occuring in the month of October.  The relevant circular is attached herewith.

We advise those retirees to follow the procedure given in the said circular for opting Insurance coverage and for payment of the pro-rata premium through online or offline.

For the information of our members we are also attaching herewith a list of Supervisory Staff/Award Staff exited/exit from our Bank between 1.10.2019 and 01.09.2020.  We request our members to inform and guide the new retirees, who are known to them, to utilise this opportunity to keep continuity of the policy since claim for hospitalisation, if any, during October will only be settled based on this pro-rata premium paid by them. Retirees for the month of September 2020 is given separately.
